I am very behind in writing this review, but I wanted to thank Furkan and Derya for making my two-night stayover in Istanbul so magical in the fall of 2024!
I wanted to have a female perspective for my first visit to Turkey, and I chose to take two days of tours with Derya. We did the "Private Istanbul Old City Museum Walk + Hagia Sofia tour" for our first day together and the "Private and guided Istanbul food tour - Taste of Istanbul" for our second day. Everything was absolutely fantastic and 100% worth the price. A great surprise: I'm not great at taking selfies when traveling solo. Derya said it was part of what she loves. She took some incredible images of me, helping capture some fantastic memories of this wonderful city's incredible sights and tastes.
She was absolutely fantastic, and I feel like I've made a new friend who loves cats just as much as I do! 100% recommend--I look forward to returning to Turkey with my spouse, and I already know we'll work with Furkan and Derya when we visit!

My friend and I, both first time visitors to Istanbul, booked a day and a half custom tour - the first evening was a food tour and the second full day was the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern and the other Istanbul highlights. Our day and half with Derya was not a tour - it was having a friend show you her city. We had the best food in places we would never have found on our own. We learned so much about Istanbul’s history and culture - and have the most wonderful photos thanks to Derya (you’ll get a bonus iPhone photo tutorial with her!).
I’ll definitely be back with my family - but only if Derya is available to show us more of her country!!

A Feast for the Eyes and Belly
My husband and I visited Istanbul for a few days and had the pleasure of being introduced to this fabulous city by Derya, our private guide. walking historian, and creative photographer. Derya’s talents are endless! She made us feel like family and was able to get us into Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and Blue Mosque before the crowds of tour groups arrived. Her knowledge of the history of each place and what to focus on was invaluable. She also took us to vendors she personally knew and helped me negotiate the purchase of a designer bag, a box of delicious Turkish Delight and some spices at the Spice Market.
In the food tour, we asked to eat like locals, so Derya took us to all of her favorite spots in the New City and the Asia side where the best of the best are made: Turkish breakfast, baklava, mussels, pickled veggies, and chicken kebabs, the food was all so flavorful! As a bonus, Derya caught on to my love of books, and was so sweet to sneak in some bookshops on our tour.

Friendly and flexible service.
We just got back from an incredible two-day adventure in Istanbul with our family, which includes three teenagers. Our tour guide Furkan and our driver Umit were absolutely fantastic. They were always on time, super knowledgeable and so friendly. They really went out of their way to tailor our experience to fit our group's need. Plus, Furkan has an eye for photography, which meant my daughters ended up with a ton of gorgeous phots.
We visited some of the must-see spots in Istanbul, like stunning Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. But the real highlight was our second day when we went on an off-the-beaten-path food tour. It was definitely the best part of our entire family trip to Europe. We can't recommend Furkan and his company enough for anyone planning to visit Istanbul.

Had two fantastic days with Derya . Day 1 was a walking tour of the old city. It was fascinating and Derya brought us around the historic Mosques, Palace and Grand Bazaar but with great education on the history, architecture, culture etc. we learned so much and all with super company and of course lovely food. Derya also a great one for shopping help!!
Day 2 was the good tour, what a blast. Derya gave us the full experience of Turkish food from breakfast to coffee shops to street food to Turkish kebab lunch. On the european and Asian sides of the city including ferry . Highly recommend

Best Touring Experience Imaginable
As a solo female traveler, I have booked many tours in various countries over the years. Furkan and Derya are without a doubt the best guides I've encountered. Communication via email was prompt and clear, I requested specific sites and foods to try and they arranged my 2 day tour accordingly. I also asked to learn how to use the subway. Derya made sure I understood they system and checked on me to make sure I got to where I wanted to go. She also took me to restaurants that the locals frequent and to a shop where I bought the most beautiful Turkish rugs.
I will definitely return to Istanbul and will arrange a tour with them for Cappadocia.

The most fun part of our trip.
We were so lucky to find Furkan on TripAdvisor. From the first email to the end of the tour, he was always helpful and polite. He showed us around Istanbul for two and a half days, taking us to all the must-see spots like Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. We even had the best food tasting tour ever. To cap it off, we ended our time with a Bosporus cruise on a private yacht, which was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. We’ve traveled a lot, but these were the best guided tours ever. Furkan knows Istanbul inside out and is an excellent storyteller, so we had a blast with him!

We spent two days with Furkan, exploring the main historical sites like Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque etc as well as the Balat area. Furkan was friendly, trustworthy and very knowledgeable, not just about the sites but also the history and the people. He was extremely considerate and flexible, always choosing the best option depending on the situation. On top of that, he’s also an amazing photographer, taking great pictures for us and giving us expert advice on how to take better pictures. It was truly delightful to walk the streets of Istanbul with him and learn about this amazing city and country. We couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Fantastic two days with Furkan.
We took an old city walking tour with Furkan. He met us in the lobby at 8:00 AM and led us on a very informative and enjoyable tour of Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. He had booked the tickets in advance, allowing us to skip the long lines, and since we started early, we were able to beat the large crowds at the museums. Furkan was incredibly knowledgeable about his country and its history. His great sense of humor made the historical tour even more enjoyable. At the end of the tour, he also assisted us with our shopping in the bazaar, helping us negotiate and find authentic handcrafted rugs and tiles. He was so impressive that we ended up booking another tour with him for the following day to explore less-visited tourist sites and local food. Once again, we were not disappointed! The food tour was the highlight of our Istanbul trip. This was our first food tour, and from now on, we plan to book a food tour wherever we go. We loved it!
